On July 1, 2012, I held a demonstration shoot at an Austin business, "Things Celtic". The release of the movie, BRAVE, was occasion enough and a number of young Austinites had a great time watching and listening to me about all things archery, and discuss the accuracy of the archery in movies, especially BRAVE (which is awesomely great!!).

I spoke for two hours, and many people came and went, as I shot around 100 arrows, including two into an apple hanging on the target. Believe it or not, I have actually made it more than 10 years into my archery career without *ever* shooting an apple until today. Add one more notch to my quiver cause I made applesauce!

My dad was the chief arrow-puller and the reference service for the techie questions, and the onlookers had a variety of great questions to ask - there were a lot that had seen Brave, and I think that the movie showed archery in the most accurate, hi-speed/slow motion sequence ever made in Hollywood (or where ever Pixar made Brave).
